has anyone made a simple digital archeology tool which uses masses searches to determine how ideas or talking points propagate? it seems like it could piggyback existing technologies pretty tidily.

for instance, i would love to see at-one-remove data on botnets trying to sway public opinion, or talking points propagating out from special interest groups
