My twitter account is one of the most valuable things I've built which simultaneously makes me feel, Silly and As if I'm squandering it. I need to use it to actively organize and connect people who want to build cool things near me (geographically and abstractly).

I think this was kinda triggered by
@MrMeritology's (sincere but also joking) comment that I am now a thinkfluencer, which makes me feel *really* uncomfortable.1 reply 0 retweets 5 likesShow this thread -
Like, my entire twitter presence exists because I needed a place to "hang out" while doing
#phdlife because it was really isolating. Then, I got into it because there are sooo many people doing sooo many cool things and talking about it on here!1 reply 0 retweets 23 likesShow this thread -
So I kinda just fell into this position by circumstance and disposition... ...but maybe I shouldn't waste it?

Replying to @generativist
You are not squandering it. Most of the professional "influencers" are no better than RSS/ atom feeds. Your opinions and general rants make it relatable. I'm sure same unsolicited advice may apply to many on twitter
