I am bad at proofs; insecure by that fact; and, want to correct it. What’s the best resource for doing so?

One of the best advice I've heard is that when you are reading a paper deeply, instead of reading the proofs, just read the theorem/lemma statements and then prove it yourself. It is a good way to learn and a good way to test how well you're following them.
