Yes! Fans from the book are just a base of people that implies the advertising budget can be smaller. The film is, as usual, aimed at maximizing viewership and returns. As with startups, you won't have a crazy return on your investment if you aim low to begin with.

Yea. I read the first book before season 1 because my bibliophile friends kept talking about how they were excited. After season 1, the friends of mine who shared the most GoT content were the same ones who probably haven't read a book since high school.

I get along with both. I think the notion that the movie should be "the book in pictures" is silly. "That wasn't in the book," "the book wasn't like that," "the book was better," just express a lack of imagination.

The initial ads are for the people who loved the books though as they'll generate the most hype for the least amount of ads. Do they're targeted to bring others to the show then be let down themselves
