So excited for conferences this summer, but... Fairly worried people will be disappointed to find out I'm much more introverted IRL. Anybody else have these concerns? How do you deal?

Elaborating, if I expect extroversion from online self-presentation and I'm greeted with introversion, it feels like apprehension and I'm wondering if *I* said something wrong or I'm missing something. Knowing, "I'm introverted" inhibits that and makes it a better experience.

I know what you mean, I've experienced this too (when meeting someone who is more introverted than I expected) I now assume that if someone is Very Online, and they're probably going to be more introverted than their online presence, so my expectations are tempered

Not a conference, but same idea. See Friendshipping buttons on

I feel like stickers are a lot more pressure. We should just norm into existence a small clothing norm for intro/extra to symbolize but that is easy to opt out of. I for one vote that us very online extroverts wear ascots
