Yea, I've done intermittent fasting for a decade. "Oh! Why did you get started? Better health? Mindfulness? The hypothesized relationship with cancer?" Ostensibly sure. But mostly after undergrad I discovered that, without a dinning hall, obtaining food is a lot more work.

Ballpark, how many people have thought your fasting was for “mindfulness” ?

Most recently it's the default. "Mindfulness" is very en vogue.

And you achieve it by starving yourself? Seems like an

My brain *does* think more clearly fasted. It's just not why I really do it. And I don't put much energy into hypothesizing why that's true because the real reason is the cancer one.

I remember why you did it i just had no idea mindfulness was in vogue at the reason for it now... Like with most of the rest of the things in my life, i remain out of touch.

Yea. There are full blown magazines at the whole foods checkout aisle literally dedicated to that and that alone.

Seems like a grocery store may not contain the target audience? then again I assume most American shopping in whole foods cant afford to buy food there so maybe thats how they do it? eating only half the days?
