2/ People who say, "Citation needed." or, "We're just debating." or, "Facts don't care about your feelings." or, "Logical Fallacy XYZ" are, ALMOST NEVER IN THAT SET OF PEOPLE.

I don't have it on me, but I'm reading The Road to Unfreedom by Timothy Snyder right now (excellent) and there's a great line to the effect of "Facts don't exist isn't a side." (So, y'know, note to self: find that line).

Found it, and it's even better than I remembered: “I am lying to you openly and we both know it” is not a side of the story. It is a trap.pic.twitter.com/OvmbpU7tvz

Yes. My only warning with Snyder is that reading two of his books in one week (as I did with Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning, and Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin) will leave you depressed af.

And that's coming from me, who, umm... Just some fun March reading. In my defense, it's not like recommenders ever go, "If you enjoyed this holocaust book, you might also enjoy Harry Potter."pic.twitter.com/3AoQJd7xHI

I've been to your GoodReads before. You're a good book club companion in my...book. (Yikes.)
