I wonder...What do you do with the revisions? I wrote letters to my mentors on my thirtieth birthday. It was good that I reached out then. So many of them have passed.

I toss out the old ones. One was kinda sad though in that, she was one of my closest friends growing up, but we have no relationship anymore because her husband is the chronically-insecure jealous type.

It's not exactly what you are talking about, but I kinda want people to think about doing it — it gives you a modicum of control over something you often don't realize you could control. That's at least responsibility adjacent.
