1/ If you're fit and in your early 20s, I'd like to impress upon you that its probably due less to your impressive willpower and more to being in your early twenties. Once your body starts throwing different genetic switches, you'll experience a very different cost structure.

2/ Like, it's good to be proud of your gains. And, I'm not saying you're not putting in the hours. But, assuming other people are not — besides being dickish — is going to feel even shittier later on when the required effort increases non-linearly.

Im in my twenties, I have two herniated disks in my back, and chronic illness that causes significant pain. I _always_ resent it when people say 'just wait until you get older'.

They...say that as a response to you, knowing you have two herniated disks in your back and a chronic illness?

Ah ok. But yes, still frustrating. My herniated L3/L4 commiserates. Backpain is awful.

✨ Lizard Queen (Pronouns: TRH-TheirRoyalHighness) ✨ @pvineethaReplying to @n1vux @nite0wl and 4 othersI was expecting to princess around on carpeted floors indoors at the conference, so I was woefully unprepared for a 3.1 mile walk. But also, both my knees got injured unrelatedly (sports injuries) at different points within the past 5-6 years, so I also have legit reasons.0 replies 0 retweets 2 likesThanks.
