Im in my twenties, I have two herniated disks in my back, and chronic illness that causes significant pain. I _always_ resent it when people say 'just wait until you get older'.

Dude staying fit in my 30s is not fun.
-
Yea. One year in my twenties, I packed on 45 lb of muscle and lost about 35 lb of fat. It was very hard. Staying fit in my 30s is harder.

Bad news from future you: 30's: whoa, where'd that chub come from? (hit gym, diet, 2-3 mo., back in control) 40': injured, weight gain, long recover, rinse, repeat 50's: can't do some things, diet relentlessly, modify workout, in shape (relatively) STILL GAIN WT!!!!
