I think that's a plausible reaction. And this is another post of mine that kinda escaped the confines of my followers in a way that really makes me want to go protected.
Then again, judging from his often belligerent defenders, I think it matters because they see it as an example to set, often without the humor. Communicating science at the level he does must be fantastically difficult!
...but, there's also a responsibility to see who is receiving your message and how it's being received. I think he's very good at that *outside* of this medium. But, on here, he struggles a lot in ways that I think make science and wonder *less* accessible.
