They don't seem to quote much beyond the two words "invisible hand", which they take to be a magic talisman and the topic of the book. And "free market" which they couldn't define if their life depended on it, and which they assume exists naturally if only governments went away.

And of course, they've heard of his first book—"Theory of Moral Sentiments". Or his discussion of the theory of rent, further explored by Ricardo and Malthus. They might recognize his discussion of the labor theory of value— if you attached the name Karl Marx.
