1/ You'll get the "read the intro & conclusion first" advice a lot in grad school. It's sound advice for navigating the *demands of grad school*. But I really dislike it. When I read your work, I want to explore the same terrain you did, not the the map you made afterwards.

I’m an abstract, methods, results, conclusion person if I’m trying to understand a study. If I’m trying to learn about a new substantive topic then I’ll also read the intro (and sometimes only the intro)

Yes. I shouldn't discount the time-savings value of reading the intro (and lit review, often) to see if the rest is even worth my time.
