They were great parents, and having older parents as a kid had some advantages, so I count myself fortunate overall. But I can very much relate to looking around at my age group peers and not finding many people to talk with about that segment of my life.

Yea, I'm sure. And the reality of various situations compels you to...skip ahead in some areas. So, in others, sometimes you lag behind as a means of tucking away some of your stolen time (I think).
