I don't personally know a single person into cosplay. Not a one. But on twitter, it seems like they're legion. This isn't a comment about cosplay. (Enjoy yourselves, folks!) But, it's a really good way for me to remember: Twitter (re-)shapes perceptual reality.

I know a few cosplayers in Boston. Lovely people. It requires a decent amount of chill and also sparetime so it's not going to common in academia. I think if you hang out with enough local artists, you'll find a few.
