The "white tribe" is constructed, inscribed in material and symbolic reality, reified, and then sublimated. When examined, it makes no sense. But inherent to reactionary politics is that tribal identity. I don't want to reify it, I want to examine and dissassemble it.

There has been carnage and slaughter when there were few to no material differences between the groups at all, as in Nazi Germany. A particularly nasty example, yes, but salient due to neo-Nazis being one of today's more actively tribalist tribes.

Right, but see, "when a concern transcends groups" is precisely what I would call a politics that is not identity politics. I dislike the phrase because it implies to me, "you shall have healthcare when the last liberal is strangled with the entrails of the last white male."
