5/ Like, even the way you structure a question can echo and reinflame prior technical disagreements that lead to animosity. And, critically, newer members of a community don't know what is associated with who and why! They just perceive, "wow, what a dickish response."

Also, to be clear, I don't think one can categorically call the community around a language friendly or not, especially since we all evaluate these things from our own limited perspectives.
