Moving slides to backup can be helpful. You probably won’t need them, but it’s good for that nagging “what if they ask me about... ?”

Sound advice. I'm trying to do that to quiet that inner voice. I think I definitely may be at the "perfect is the enemy of good" stage, and need to let go a bit.

Give it to a non-science person! Oftentimes during the explanation to a layman I'll discover what's needed to understand the big picture and what's not.
