According to twitters algorithm, this is the loudest signal right now over whatever projection of my social network they're using. Since we don't know exactly how that works, we can't rule out bad algorithm design.
But, that's A LOT of tweets spent on a social fission process, at a time when there are so many other obvious targets and issues to spotlight.
Like, I'm not even critiquing any aspect of the encounter. It's the subsequent oxygen-depleting reaction that's achieves pathological proportions. Attention has to come from some where.pic.twitter.com/AmkB0flDB6

One side is very good at messaging to achieve stereotype-conditioned cohesion. To do so, they pathologically ignore truth and morality. Everyone else is so focused on morality, that they go to the other extreme and fail to ever achieve a coalition.https://twitter.com/generativist/status/1106640736907333633 …

I don't mean anything about tone or expression. I'm saying, something about this medium is pathological that it induces this discussion schedule. It represents a terrible sample over social issues right now.
Like again, I'm not even taking a side in the actual encounter. But, I think for either position, there isn't a winner. It simultaneously strengthens beliefs and antagonistic stereotypes between two groups that *must be allies* to achieve an electoral win come 2020.pic.twitter.com/9o2eeaUAbo
