That's why I like CSS, which I sometimes describe as applied complexity theory. It allows for understanding of systems issues involving humans, organizations, and the environment. Not that it makes it easy to do well, but it provides a structured approach complex problems.

Yes, me too. Although, I'd state (for me) the greatest use has been less understanding complex systems and more appreciating what they entail. Being constantly surprised by my own damn models is humbling.
