Python has good libraries too, but Pythonistae are typically worse about using them thoughtfully. The ones who *are* good tend to have day jobs that don't necessarily align with making good data viz. So it's more a social problem than a tooling problem.

I think signal boosting is almost harder for Python though because it has so many disparate communities. Lots of opportunities for dilution.

I also only cover a narrow-ish swath bc I only understand so much abt specific subdomains etc. Like, there are tons of pkgs I'm sure I'd think were cool, if I knew what all the words meant/the problem space they fill in.
