I'm excited to watch the JBP-Žižek thing. I want to be angry at myself for that but I'm just not. I want the insipid resolution of a boxing match.
My part of this whole thread is only semi-serious. But, I've been trying to figure out why everything is so disorienting and it's just...there is too much information and too many events for us to process at the timescales they're presented.

So the idea of a spectacle that could start AND THEN END is just absolutely seductive and exhilarating. It won't happen that way. I'll be disappointed. But the possibility is enough to seduce me.

Inherent in that comment (to me) is the assumption that things will make sense or are condenseable or if we could just parse history better, I don't know if I agree that the chaos is something you can grasp
