Would you rather read scifi for an hour or scroll twitter?
Me: Read scifi, obviously.
Okay. You say that. But, I've noticed you're composing this interaction in tweet form as we speak.
Me: Shh, I'm busy.

I just sat down to read a book for 45 minutes before making dinner & am now scrolling Twitter instead, even though I literally told myself I would not get on Twitter as I walked to the couch.pic.twitter.com/yQF8Q8RdO2

It's so hard! You know you're doing the wrong thing but you forget almost immediately because our brains increasingly operate at a proliferation of incompatible timescales!

I really should choose a "default storage spot" for my phone that's completely on the other side of the house, so that I have to *really* want to make the trip over to it in order to get distracted.

I was thinking the same thing! But I also don't want to miss out on texts with friends, as it's a big way for me to keep up with people now that I've moved to a new state. Are there apps that will limit your time on other apps?

I know there are apps out there that will limit total usage time; not sure if there are ones that you can configure limits per-app.

I have a review list somewhere I just can't look now. If you don't find what you're looking for (Ashley), ping me again in a few weeks and I'll share it.
