That's just it: I don't know. The rise of anti-vaccination beliefs does real harm. And, tight communities making public declarations of their homogeneous beliefs is a fostering environment for them. But, the *same* community effects are beneficial to lots of other groups.

I don't know. Those solutions worry me just as much, I think, especially because I think corporations are increasingly going to dictate things related to our health. The tradeoffs for these public issues are...all pretty unhappy.

This issue is a perfect ambiguous one for me. I recognize that they do real harm and I want it stopped. But, I don't want facebook mediating this type of thing. So, I don't want them banned. Still...facebook *is* mediating this type of thing right now: amplifying it...
