justice isn't only about getting things 'right', it's about proportionality, equal application… maybe some or even all of these consequences are right and worth it, but nobody is sitting down thinking about that. internet mobs rise and fall, pseudorandomly, and it's troubling.

Do you have any recommendations on HCI stuff to read in this vein? Post phd, I want to build systems that attend to these problems. I know the social psychology components, but if I'm being honest I know desperately little about HCI.
