Really? I think "bunching" is built in. Sequencing makes the bunch progressively more accessible and therefore salient, which the user can then retrace back up the timeline.
I think you over-estimate the Twitter algo. Are you using "Latest" or "Most relevant"? I only view "Latest" to minimize influence of their lame-ass algos.
