Every time I read someone's "you wouldn't have an iPhone without [person X]" take, I'm embarrassed to recognize that I thought that way once, too. Immersed in an effectively boundless sea of information, we forget just how far back the chain of necessary discoveries goes.

But it's worth remembering. If your story of reality includes Titans, it is a fantasy. Which, is fine -- we're all just making up shit as we go. But, that particular willful-illusion tends to induce lots of less-willful delusions -- it's a bad way to travel.
