One of my favorite twitter experiences is watching, 1. <[x] followed you> 2. <[x] liked your tweet> 3. <[x] liked your retweet> 4. <[x] retweeted your retweet> then implicitly, <[x] gets to your offensive shitpost> and, <[x] unfollowed you>.

If they cannot tolerate you at your shitpost-iest, then they do not deserve you at your thought-leader-est.

Some people follow me, I check their timeline and think, Oh no, you poor summer child. You know not what you've done. This will not go well" and wait for the unfollow. It's not normally more than 5 minutes

I‘ve come to realize that presenting a ruthlessly unfiltered version of oneself automatically filters for the people that trickle into one’s immediate ecosystem. I’ve been unapologetically slaying assholes, so now my ecosystem mostly has supportive folks who build each other up.

Judging from the engagement rate to your posts -- which I'm only inferring from the fact that your retweets on threads with me fill my notifications very quickly -- you're doing a good job at this!
