Pet Peeve: When someone asks you a question, answer that, not the question you mistakenly or not infer is more relevant. You can get to that afterwards if it proves necessary.

I appreciate the receptivity! Yeah the aspergers cliche of the guy who just won't stop talking is due to this I think? I am not, like, a licensed expert, but this is my experience and the experience I've heard others describe. Communication is hard, man!

From my experience, as a person with anxiety and depression, my first answer comes from my reptile brain, without time spent in the forebrain. Ends up emotionally charged, unreasonable, unmeasured. Stopping to clarify gives me time to think and answer properly.
