Svetlana Alexievich's "Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster" is amazing. Brutal, incredibly difficult to read, but fantastic. And her Nobel Lecture (she is the 2015 Laureate) "On the Battle Lost" is incredible and needs to be more well known
