What is a less known intuition you've developed about using Twitter that others likely don't know about?

Everyone with even a moderate following quickly discovers (through positive-feedback) that they can tweet about whatever random & weird esoterica they're into at the moment. Small accounts are more inhibited by a lack of interactions. The spiral of silence is asymmetrical.

This is a great insight, I see that as "don't try so hard" which is counter-intuitive in every arena. I'd add that the "like" button is also asymmetrical. Very casual/frictionless to give someone, almost a "hey, I see you." The receiving end reads into these much further.

Oh yea, the like button asymmetry is especially weird as your account grows. Adding up all those frictionless affirmations perceptually means way more than it should.
