This isn't a criticism of @henripal. I did the same then deleted my post recently, too. It's just that particular instances match a general schema and then stand in for the issue itself.
The medium is the problem, not the peer review.
Subtweeting papers is hard. 1) There are systemic issues in DL (et al) publishing; 2) Expressed frustrations are salient; 2) Twitter algo forges a niche, viral focal point.
