I need advice. How do YOU balance multiple writing projects at once? Do you have strategies for mentally switching between projects in the same day/week? I struggle with switching, then end up feeling overwhelmed & frozen. #AcWri #phdchat #postdoc #academiclifepic.twitter.com/yadcXgIWmg

Could you please clarify? How do you use this extension to help you switch between projects?

For me, part of the mental switching cost is context switching. Being able to switch back and forth between workspaces easily helps me manage one aspect of the contexts better. I don't think I can ameliorate the mental part; but, I can help better shape the context.

For example, I'm working on my dissertation at this moment. I keep a tab last paper(s) I was reading in that context; any methodology pages;
@HemingwayApp; and, a tab for@ProjectJupyter. If I'm not working on my dissertation, I'm not in taht environment.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

The act of enforcing the different tab-spaces has the effect of making them at once more concrete and lowering mental reload time (for me, anyway).

This is so interesting, thank you for sharing! It seems like it could definitely be a useful way to organize my thoughts (and all the folders & documents from my Google Drive, instead of constantly having to navigate through them to get where I want to go for each project).

Does it carry over between work spaces? For example, if I install the extension on my work computer & my laptop, do they seamlessly sync?

Awesome! Thank you again for sharing! I've started making project boxes as suggested by
@jolijensen's in "Write No Matter What" to separate the physical materials & I think doing this in my digital space will be helpful as well!1 reply 1 retweet 2 likes -
