mypy: or, how i stopped worrying and learned to love out-of-band type-checking
One definite downside (to me): comment-based tying is too noisy. I want my comments to be comments. Which means my python code has to target 3.6+ for actual inline type annotations. That could be frustrating.

One definite plus: With the attrs module (that I just started using this week) you get really concise and readable data classes.
