Purging my laptop in prep for giving it back, found (and deleted) the folder of ipython notebooks that I collected like post its. Anybody have a better scheme for managing random code snippets?

I have a large repo of disused notebooks. As long as I put a decent markdown header and description in them, I can find what I want pretty quickly by issuing Silver Searcher commands in that (giant) folder. It's so nice that they're just JSON files.https://github.com/ggreer/the_silver_searcher …

That sounds useful! I have a scraps folder for semi useful notebooks and functionally a second scraps folder of geo tutorials...but some of these notebooks are for like analyzing my bills and don't wanna bother cleaning them before putting em up ...I guess I could use bitbucket
