Traditionally in America our values are based on the Ten Commandments - those are displayed in the Supreme Court building. Drives the far left crazy to hear that, but take out the God part and you have a solid list of things you should not do.

/ An interesting hypothesis, Basement Bill! Religiosity certainly has declined steadily in the US. But, I wonder if there is any other plausible explanation. Perhaps the fall in religion's centrality doesn't account for American moral decay.

/ Instead, maybe it's the endless barrage of powerful grifters using religion as both shield and dagger? Here, I think you serve as a wonderful example. You often like to talk about your religious convictions and moral fiber. But, you're a notoriously terrible human being.

/ Fuck, you had to shell out 32 million because you're an abject moral failure. (Did you miss that homily?)

/ Before your current status as grouchy basement dweller, you were immensely powerful. Over time, you and all the wealthy, faux-religious, faux-everyman pundit grifters diluted the premise of morality, rendering it as a mere rhetorical device.

/ Morality collapsed because visible moralizers were clearly immoral. Rushing in to the fill the void? The universalization of the grift. People using morality as a political tool, not as a guideline for living life well.
