I agree. I have just stopped putting up with it. If I see one of my followers or mutuals harassing people I retweet, I just block them. @NuclearAnthro gave me the very good tip to be quick on the block with that particular behavior. There is no reason to put up with it.
Yea. I, think that's the best response. I get tripped up because I think, "well, they follow me, so maybe I can nudge them in a different way." But it never really works; blocking is a stronger signal; and, hand-holding takes so much energy.
