oh, yes, we can remember the occupying forces well in Franconia and how they would have been disposing of us if the war ever got hot. So thankful. Fulda Gap, Würzburg Gap, etc.

Without the Americans, the unification would’ve been a very red affair and quite unsatisfying to the citizens of what was then West Germany. Not to forget the other allies either keeping the beast behind the iron curtain in check.

I'm sorry that he hasn't thanked the USA yet. We Germans need to do more to ensure that the importance & help of the USA is not forgotten. Without the help of NATO,especially without the USA, Germany would have been help-and defenseless and not reunited today.Thank you very much.
