Great to see JFC NP continuing to work with KFOR and host nations. NATO investment in security is key to sustainable stability and prosperity in the region; give leaders space to negotiate; protect them from external malign influence, and complement with private investment.

Great to see British Army units continuing to utilize training areas in Germany...and Sennelager has been a good one for many years...even more reassuring to see the British Army continue to emphasize readiness...essential to effective deterrence.

"So-called Allies" is inappropriate. USA, DEU, NLD, ESP deployed Patriots to protect TUR citizens from RUS-made missiles flying out of Syria. TUR and USA have been Allies since 1952. Not a flawless relationship...needs renewal...but has endured many challenges on both sides.

A free and active Press is essential to preserving and protecting liberal democracy and to building societal resilience. RFE/RL is a terrific institution devoted to that.

Great team of American public servants working at the US Mission to the European Union. I learned a lot from them today and look forward to US/EU cooperation on improving military mobility as well as finding common ground on supporting defence industry development.

Great comments by Didi and Kristine. Disappointing decision by UK. I have zero trust in any CCP Govt statements about security. Regardless, we should compete in this area, invest in Nokia, Ericson and other 5G providers the way CCP Govt bankrolls Huawei to get the cost down.

Germany has earned moral authority; its leadership within NATO and the EU are essential to achieving stability/security and broader prosperity. I applaud AKK's courage and vision. I hope the Bundestag will support her and that the USA embraces Germany as our essential Ally.

Good analysis by Michael. RUS puts these capabilities in places like K'grad, Crimea, Tartus to protect key sites and deny/support maneuver. West should be able to achieve "sea control" in Baltic Sea quickly; much tougher challenge in Black Sea..."Sea Denial" is more feasible.

EU-NATO cooperation are key to fixing our military mobility challenges. Only EU and Nations can solve the border crossing and infrastructure challenges. Military Mobility Workshop in Brussels 31 Mar-2 Apr will bring EU and NATO together to do this.

DB's strategy, "Strong Rail", is essential to "Strong Europe". I hope that requirements for Min of Defense and Bundeswehr are taken into consideration as part of overall Min of Transportation 86Bn Euro modernization and expansion of rail capacity/infrastructure.

Jan Techau's column is excellent...as usual. An important opportunity for EU to develop a meaningful foreign policy...and it's good to see Germany perhaps moving from strategic inertia to positive strategic effect.

This is disgusting, even by the normal standard of Russian disinformation and twisting of history. No wonder President Duda was so incensed that President Putin would be given the chance to speak but not the Polish President.

Agree with Jonathan...a rich discussion about strategic issues and challenges and opportunities; US strategy wrt Turkey and the greater Black Sea region needs to be clear, strong...part of Great Power Competition in order to prevent Great Power War.

Strategically important to normalize relations with Belarus, get Ambassador there, give them alternatives for energy, trade without trying to get between them and Russia, while continuing to press for democratic reform and safe operation of Astravets nuke power plant.
