When Lemonade dropped and when The Gift dropped. It was amazing to see myself represented as black woman with emotions, hurt and pain (Lemonade) and an African woman seeing my people celebrated (The Gift).

The Black in America series with Soledad O’Brien. When it came out in 2008 (I believe that was the year) it influenced me so much that I decided as a teenager that I wanted to be a journalist and continue telling the stories that needed to be heard.
