Unpopular opinion: sophomoric sexual humor, asking women what their kinks are, asking black folks if they can rap is disrespectful & hurtful. Doing it on a stage unforgettable & exploitative. At a defcon101 the opposite of welcoming. Hopefully all the reports i heard are wrong.

I was the black man on stage for Defcon101. I'm not even mad at Nikita for trying to difuse an akward situation by rapping. I do hope next year things will be better for everyone one and hopefully get some more non forced diversity.

If you DM me i would love to just check in with you & hear how you feel diversity can be better so we can all lend a hand in building a space where everyone can get positive something out of this.i'm sad a lot of ppl i got to come for the 1st time told me they wont come back.

Lady from the audience to the only black hacker on stage: “can you rap?” Us: “wtaf?racist” Me: proceeds to rap. we did declare several times to the audience&participants that it’s a offensive adult panel. Sorry the tone wasnt expected, It’s not an official welcome talk.

Further to that I’m not discounting the feedback. I am regretting my behavior, if I did, making anyone feel unwelcome is unacceptable. I do plan to do better and I don’t think the panel will be coming back.
