I'm going to miss so much of it. I'm going to miss clipping my badge onto my belt loop. I'm going to miss walking by @itsmarksopp 's desk, clinking my stein as I talk shop with him while mixing up some crystal light in the morning. I'm going to miss the Encounter Coffee Crew.

I realize that it's going to be the people I miss the most. I take solace in the fact that so many of them sent out friend requests, and if 2020 has taught us anything it's that anyone is just a zoom/discord/phone call away. So I won't really be going anywhere, physically, yet.

I feel a dull ache somewhere deep down, because I know something really special is ending. But one of the songs we used to play during crunch in QA was closing time. I'll be corny just the once: every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

It was hard saying goodbye to my friends. My finger hovered over that email longer than it did over my resignation. I sent so many emails to so many people who have impacted my life and career for the last 11 years. Their support and understanding has been validating and needed.

I have made so many lifelong friends here, and I think I will always bleed Blizzard blue. It's been an amazing ride, and while I'm sad to be leaving I'm excited to move on as well. Blizzard fam is real, and the roots run deep.

Special shoutouts to QA, where I got my foot in the door. Night crew, WoW QA, and Overwatch QA were my homes for the first six years. It definitely helped me become the designer I am today.

And of course I have to hand it to the Quest team. We've moved mountains, made magic, and shared so many happy memories. I leave knowing that WoW is in good hands, because I've seen the work they can do.

In fact, for those of you who have made it this far, something that would make me really happy would be for you to read a quest in its entirety. Read the text when you pick up the quest. Read the text when when you turn it in (right before you hit complete).

Someone wrote that text, just for you! We write it so you can read it. And we hope you feel something when you do. So read a quest, for me. It doesn't have to be one of mine, but I'll probably be a little more cavalier over which ones are mine : P We all wrote some great stuff.

I'm definitely starting to ramble and lose the plot, but I'm glad I managed to end up positive again. More happy tweets and threads to follow. For those of you who followed me for WoW stuff, thanks for sticking it out. Maybe you'll like what I work on next!
