OK, that was a massive, fulfilling superhero film. You’re gonna hear something crop up though, and I want to try explain why it’s not a bad thing. This film is basically THOR.https://twitter.com/liammaguren/status/961830709655617536 …

Royalty. Ancestry. Power. Betrayal. Outcasts. There are a couple of change-ups, but it runs very similar thematic parallels - too many to ignore.

And you’ll here people bring this up like a complaint. In which case, I suggest saying: “So what?”

The MCU relies on blueprints to keep its chain connected, making minor adjustments here and there in a way that keeps things fresh yet familiar.

What’s fresh in
#BlackPanther cannot be understated, but I’m not going to tell you what that is. All I can tell you is that I got so many tingles, I might need to see a health professional.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -

Funnily enough I sort of feel indifferent to Black Panther. Its world and issues are brilliantly realised but it feels a little more like a Bond film than a Marvel one, which is no bad thing.

By indifferent I mean that it did what I wanted it to and with depth. Bar my one issue.

Yeah, felt the Bond vibe hard in THAT scene. And as you point out about trailers, that’s a peeve of mine about films that tease a climax.

It drives me nuts. Also, re: Solo, it's similar. I have no belief any of them will be in danger, because I know they've already survived other films. So it falls to the characters around to be well-rounded so I feel their demise.
