Turns out BLOOD FATHER *is* something to write home about, and that -something is Mel Freakin' Good-to-Have-You-Back Gibson.
He was infinitely better than the dialogue or the material afforded him. If it was 3D, we'd have seen the veins popping in neck

The script was flawed but I actually found it endearing for its non-Hollywoodness, TBH - moments were more real (if unpolished).
