But what if I don’t want to go to Covid alert level one?

I hear you. I went to a supermarket AND a mall in the weekend. I did not enjoy either experience.

It's weird isn't it? Almost as if we're now conditioned to be wary of everyone. I don't like how these past few weeks have felt with it, and I'm a little nervy about a second wave.

I'm glad I was forced to get over that fear early in level 2 - I was a witness at a friend's wedding the first weekend - and it (along with the statistical evidence and trust in our government) has left me feeling, if not *comfortable*, then at very least not anxious.

It's strange Doug, I'm not even sure it's fear. It's just become the new normal and I am, by nature, a person who thrives on structure - so it's hard for me to cope with the change of routine.

Yeah, that was an oversimplification. I know other people who are the same or similar. And hopefully that didn't sound judgy. It's been an intense and individual journey for everybody.

It’s going to take time but already am seeing offices demanding people back and not everyone wants to go I don’t think. Also I don’t really have a desire to go back to how it was as that feels like that was slightly broken to me.

Yeah, I think a lot of employers are in for a rude shock if they have employees who have been successfully working from home and are inflexible. As a freelancer between jobs I'm much more used to a "never the same river twice" lifestyle.

I think this will be the issue that causes friction. Meeting in the middle seems a good idea but is also a hope too
