Hive mind - under Level 3 Covid stuff, are we able to go and see an elderly relative across town and come back - ie not stay in there or invite them to join our bubble? Currently unsure if that's a bubble burst or allowed, and website v vague for Covid. Thanks - appreciate help

If you only see her and nobody else - and they agree to only see you and nobody else - yes - you can count that as sharing your bubble - sharing your bubble doesn't have to mean you see each other all the time - it lets you see each other if you want

It's driving me completely crazy that the alert 3 comms on what you can and can't do re connecting with people has been so poor - the actual Health Act Order makes it clearer - if you're able to digest legal documents http://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2020/0069/latest/whole.html …

It's driving me insane too - don't know if neighbours are breaching rules, don't know if what we want to do is breaching rules too - it's chaos and difficult to work through for the best

I think the comms has really overlooked the need for agreement between all adults involved - and the need for an actual thought out and discussed "arrangement" - not just people randomly visiting relatives or "lonely people" to "reconnect"

the implications of having a "shared bubble" arrangement in circumstances where both households have people in them who are going out to work hasn't come up in the comms at all - I think that's a huge oversight

I spoke to police who said if you were stopped at a checkpoint, would you have a compelling enough reason to drive where you're going. They were very reasonable and decent, so not sure where to next - may leave for a week.
