CATS Hot take - I did not take enough acid to watch this film, have no idea for at least 40 minutes of what was going on, and didn't get the world logic. It's for fans of the musical, who've clearly ingested the right catnip and want to see their fave celebs as Furries. #catspic.twitter.com/uVWCWOnuou

I think it's more suited to them TBH. At least there's a tolerance there. 14 people walked out of the screening I was in.

We were in the same one I think haha. I absolutely love the musical, and this is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time.

So what's your disconnect? The fact you're to assume you know what's going on? The weird staging and the odd sets? Some of the musical moments were impressive, but the whole thing didn't hang together, felt slight, and was just about the cameos - there's no logic or coherence

The weird shoehorned plot, the terrible visuals, bad humour and overall horniness. Plus without the spectacle and immediacy of live theatre, it was just boring. Thought the cast were pretty good and the sets were cool.

All cats rub up against each other though right, and then have erect tails. I've seen the internet.

It’s weirder when it’s James Corden and Judi Dench with hairy bodies and hairless hands
