Clarify pls - so a one shot movie can have edits? I thought it couldn’t but admit flailing before research
ah look there are obvious edits - into the dark, past a long wall, into the water etc, but am intrigued as it's being sold as a one shot film, but that's not my perception of one shot - though the practicalities of a 2 hour shoot for an entire film are insurmountable.

I think that was the caveat with Victoria too. As long as the directors don't claim literal 100% single-shot status I think viewers are fine with it. Nothing can top Russian Ark for ambition though!

I saw interviews with Deakins going in where he made it clear that the longest take was 8 1/2 minutes.

I'll dig into those after. I don't tend to look at anything to do with a film pre-viewing as it sometimes sullies it. Thanks though - assume you were at the 615 one? (Was at 545, cos it's nice to come home in daylight)
