It's about WHY June went back. It's about WHY Mrs Waterford gave her the baby. It's about IF Emily got out with the baby. It's about WHAT happened to the Marthas. It's about WHAT COMES NEXT.

IT looks tedious AF. This show deals in constant and consistent misery. Set a date for it to end for narrative purposes to give it a drive it needs and lost in S2

Wow. Guess you didn't get preview screeners then! I would have expected more than a snarky statement from someone who hasn't seen the new series. BAD look for a reviewer, really - though l should ask: are you still at TVNZ?

I know some people found S2 heavy going. There were a lot of pretty confronting visuals matched with some really confronting ideas. It was not "easy" tv, especially with what has been going on in the world over the last few years.

Oh I get that.Good TV shouldn't be easy, look at Chernobyl. But HTS2 continued to go deep and dark for the sake of it, rather than for a bigger picture. Was always hard given they're off-book, I guess. I'm aware am male, so not "Target" and point of reviewing is different views

Did you finish S2? Because if that wasn't textbook "laying the groundwork to build in for the bigger picture" l don't know what is
Yes it is a series where gender might make a difference - but you'd have to watch it to see!

S2 i left midway as was getting nothing out of. Wife saw it through to end, and even she wasn't convinced it's worth going back to. Anyway, different views and yeah, probs why i didn't request screeners! :)
