      5) De Palma (Jake Paltrow & Noah Baumbach 2015) Great spoiler-filled documentary about a director I am more familiar with than I thought. A fascinating look into De Palma's career and an interesting portrait of a certain era of Hollywood. Loved hearing about Bernard Herrmann too.pic.twitter.com/KlhNzKx0VV

      6) Mystic River (Clint Eastwood 2003) Never seen this before because I was convinced some cunt had ruined the twist. Turns out they hadn’t so I can only apologise. Lovely stuff.pic.twitter.com/f6sgSjqNsT

      7) Princess Mononoke (Hayao Miyazaki 1997) I like this film just fine. Watched the American Dub because I don’t see the point in reading subtitles when it’s animated and Clare Danes isn’t great, but the animation is amazing and my Dad would aprove of the message.pic.twitter.com/QjPVyr88zl

      8) Tatie Danielle (Étienne Chatiliez 1989) I stayed in an Air BnB and this was one of the DVDs there. I’ll say this, it’s very well regarded. It spends a lot of time setting up its central relationship only to feel rushed. I liked it, but think there’s a better film there.pic.twitter.com/VCE2Y0dTcR

      9) About Schmidt (Alexander Payne 2002) Again from the Air BnB, haven’t seen this since the cinema. Jack Nicholson is amazing in this, very quiet and largely understated. Not ever as funny as you want it to be, but good supporting cast and memorable.pic.twitter.com/cTpMyR0Fv0

      10) Body Double (Brian De Palma 1984) De Palma here is more Hitchcock than ever & feels like a redo of his own Blow Out (an all time favourite). Less controversial than it apparently was 35 years later, still technically interesting, although the big reveal is obvs. RELAX = 🤯pic.twitter.com/G26Cw4zP3e

      11) A Nightmare On Elm Street (Wes Craven 1984) Having not seen a Freddy film growing up this franchise fucked me up more than any other as a kid. Lot’s to like here, but ironically, the reality is not as terrifying as what I imagined all those years ago. Always preferred Jason.pic.twitter.com/Bju8ibv9A9

      12) Toni Erdmann (Maren Ade 2016) This was recommended to me by my friend @ollocks and was not at all what I was expecting. A very weird 3 hour long German/Austrian Comedy-Drama, it’s very funny, awkward and thoughtful. I loved this film.pic.twitter.com/EPsjDpYjbX

      13) Frailty (Bill Paxton 2001) I love, love, love Bill Paxton. This film is absolutely fine. You can see the twist (One of the twists! Too many twists!?!) coming from miles away and it is really hokey and handmade, but it’s charming and enjoyable while it lasts and I liked it.pic.twitter.com/kdBZWgNH6z

      14) The Predator (Shane Black 2018) It’s weird when people make a sequel to a film you love but don’t get the aspects you loved it for. Sure. Shane Black was IN Predator. But did he SEE Predator? An outstanding misunderstanding of anything that made the original Sequel-Worthy.pic.twitter.com/UePDykQY7S
